Spatial Awareness is a dj and producer taking the slightly more oblique path; part unreconstructed indie kid, part old school rave enthusiast, part techno fiend, part disco weirdo, and possibly part werewolf.
2019 saw releases on DJ Pierre’s Jack Trax imprint and Get Up Recordings, and remixes of Marc Almond, Hannah Holland, Wes Baggaley, and Scarlet Fantastic. 2020 has turned out releases for Science Cult, with Australia's Clippp Art, with some more large name remixes cooking in the studio.
The last few years have been an upward trajectory for the distinctive sound of Spatial Awareness, exciting people across the globe with his original tracks (on labels including Twirl!, Zombie Soundsystem, and Fetch), and remixes for the likes of Type 303 (on the vinyl only I Love Acid label), Jozef K, Boy George, Severino & Faber, Shaun J. Wright & Alinka, The Woodentops, and many more.
Autumn 2020 has seen a new radio show begin for Spatial Awareness, with the iconic Street Sounds brand.
Acid, disco, techno, and house all blur together sublimely at the edges in the world of Spatial Awareness. His somewhat eclectic tastes ensure a lot of quite disparate things that go into the Spatial Awareness melting pot – dub, film soundtracks, electronica, post-punk, motorik rhythms, synthpop, Bowie and Roxy and the Velvets and more besides. Elements of all these things seep into the music Spatial Awareness makes and plays.
